Need something else with Linux, Red Hat, OpenShift or Ansible? Write to me and I'll tell you whether it fits.

02Method

How I work

  1. 30-minute call

Free. You describe the environment and we see whether it fits.

  2. Written proposal

Scope, deliverables, timeline and a fixed price before we start.

  3. Remote work

Interim deliveries and read-only access wherever possible.

  4. Report and final session

One hour to present the results and decide the next step.

03Technologies

What I work with

17 years in infrastructure, from VMware and Hyper-V virtualization to OpenShift, RHEL and Ansible. I know VMware from the inside, from when it was my daily work, and since 2018 I have worked with Red Hat OpenShift and Linux in enterprise cloud infrastructure.

More about me
  1. 2009 to 2018

Web hosting on Red Hat and, from 2010, VMware and Hyper-V high-availability virtualization: vSphere, vCenter, NSX, vCloud Director.

    • Red Hat
    • VMware vSphere
    • vCenter
    • NSX
    • vCloud Director
    • Hyper-V
  2. 2018 to 2019

Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes consulting, with Docker and Elastic Stack.

    • OpenShift
    • Kubernetes
    • Docker
    • Elastic Stack
  3. 2020 to 2026

RHEL and OpenShift administration in enterprise cloud infrastructure, on bare-metal and virtual servers.

    • RHEL
    • OpenShift
    • Ansible
    • Ansible Automation Platform
    • Red Hat Satellite

04Proof

I build and run what I automate

Two products of my own that I designed and built alone, from infrastructure to application. They show that I can deliver and operate a system end to end. They are not services I sell.

  • Pre-launch

    Rescato

A platform for shops to sell surplus food to consumers: mobile app, web, store dashboard and payments. It runs on AWS development and test environments and is not yet live to the public.

    • AWS Amplify Gen 2
    • AppSync
    • DynamoDB
    • Cognito
    • Next.js
    • React Native
    • Dify
  • Regulation to be defined

    FinFlush

A fintech and gaming marketplace that combines real-money poker with social investing: investors back players they choose by their track record, and profits are split between investor and player automatically. Real-time tables, payments and settlement. The regulatory process is still to be defined.

    • AWS Amplify Gen 2
    • AppSync
    • DynamoDB
    • Cognito
    • Next.js

The infrastructure and DevOps side, done by me: infrastructure as code and repeatable deployments, CI/CD pipelines, authentication with Cognito and least-privilege AWS access, and logging, monitoring and cost control.

05Limits

What I don't do

  • I don't offer 24/7 on-call, migrations of thousands of virtual machines or custom application development.

  • I don't administer vSphere 8 or VMware Cloud Foundation today: my VMware experience runs to 2018.

  • I don't resell licences or take vendor commissions, so if another platform fits better than OpenShift Virtualization, I will tell you.

06Questions

Frequently asked questions

I work remotely, with read-only access wherever possible.

Do you work with teams in Ireland, or in English?

Yes. I work in English and Spanish, in the Spain and Ireland time zones.

What if what I need isn't listed here?

If it involves Linux, Red Hat, OpenShift or Ansible, write to me and I'll tell you whether it fits.
